At Living Faith we want to offer a place for people to connect with other followers of Christ so that we can empower and encourage each other in our faith journey as we attempt to grow to be more like Christ a little each day. The ten dollar word for this is Spiritual Formation. As Dallas Willard writes, “spiritual formation for the Christian basically refers to the Spirit-driven process of forming the inner world of the human self in such a way that it becomes like the inner being of Christ himself.” At Living Faith we think this happens best in the context of community where we can encourage each other, walk together through joyful, hard and painful challenges, get perspective on our blind spots, and share love and grace where we stumble.
We provide three different ways to connect for development and growth: study, small groups and discipleship. The Sunday morning study is a large group context where we can grab some coffee and a donut, grab a seat, enjoy a short interactive lesson and discuss or just listen with other adults on the journey. Small groups offer a more personal context where we can build deeper relationships that allow for greater support, challenges and even opportunities to serve. And we are currently developing discipleship teams of 3-5 people where you’ll be able to learn and grow at a more intimate and personal level about following Christ. All three are offered with the aim of loving each other well as well as sharing the love of Jesus in all the arenas of our lives.
